Linda is the Founder and Director of Plainview Speech Center.  She received her Bachleors Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from the State University at Albany and her Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Hahnemann Medical College Graduate School.  

She is licensed by the State of New York as a Speech/language Pathologist and holds a license as a Teacher of the Speech/language Handicapped.  She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association (ASHA).   She is a member of the New York State and Long Island Speech/Language Associations as well as the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology and International Association of Orofacial Myology.    

She has had over 40 years of experience and has completed extensive coursework in the treatment of feeding disorders, articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia, tied oral tissues (tongue and lip tie) and orofacial myology.  She is PROMPT Certified and a Certified Orofacial Myologist.  She is a TOT’s (Tied Oral Tissue) Professional Provider.  She has received numerous ASHA (American Speech/Language/Hearing) ACE Awards for Continuing Education Excellence. 

Linda is passionate about her job!  Her enthusiasm and excitement is felt by all of the patients that she treats.  She feels strongly that family involvement is key to the success of each patient.

Linda Krostich

Owner

Shari is an experienced clinician with more than 30 year of practice.  She received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Brooklyn College.  She is New York State Licensed as a Speech/language Pathologist and as a Teacher of the Speech/Language Handicapped.  She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association. 

Her area of expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of children who demonstrate articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, oral-motor dysfunction, apraxia, phonological disorders and pragmatic/social skills delays.   

She is trained in the Lidcombe Program: a therapy technique for children who stutter.  She is a PROMPT Level II trained clinician and is active in local PROMPT Study Groups.  

She has had a great deal of experience with toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.  She brings excitement into all sessions and involves parents and caretakers in explaining goals and providing at home activities so that carryover can be achieved.

Shari Galan

Speech Therapist

Marie has worked as an Office Administrator, Medical Biller and Office Manager (on and off) for over 30 years.  She took a break from working for big corporations such as Grumman, Marie Callender's and Kintetsu World Express to raise her 3 children.  She has been with Plainview Speech Center for almost 3 years and specializes in administration and handles all of the non-clinical aspects for our center.  She assists in scheduling, billing and managing our office.  Her cheerful and helpful nature is contagious to our parents.  We are so lucky to have her with us.

Marie Nalbone

Office Manager

Kayla is a bilingual Speech/Language Pathologist.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from Queens College and her Masters Degree from Adelphi University.  She is New York State Licensed as a Speech/Language Pathologist and a Teacher of the Speech/language Handicapped.  She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association. She also holds her Bilingual Extension Certification through New York State. 
 
Her area of expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of children who demonstrate articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, and pragmatic/social skills delays.   She is able to evaluate and provide therapy for Spanish speaking children. 
 
She is trained in the TEACCH Program: a program that uses children’s skills and strengths to build and promote progress on their overall development.
 
She has experience working with toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.  She also keeps parents updated with their children's progress and provides activities that can be done at home to maintain skills learned in therapy.

Kayla Pacheco

Speech Therapist

Colbey received her Bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from the University of Miami in Florida and her Master’s degree from Long Island University.  She is New York State licensed as a Speech/Language Pathologist and holds her TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech/Language Disorders). She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association.

Colbey is PROMPT Trained:  Level 1.  Her areas of expertise include the evaluation and treatment of children who demonstrate articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays and pragmatic/social skills impairments.    

Her experience includes working with preschool and school age children bringing   creative and engaging activities into all of her sessions. She works collaboratively with parents and caretakers in providing home activities in order to promote generalization of learned skills.

Colbey Plutzer

Speech Therapist

Nancy has been a Speech/Language Pathologist for over 30 years. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from City University of New York: Queens College.  She specializes in working with children who have the following issues:  behavioral issues, autistic spectrum disorder, pragmatic and social issues, articulation and phonological disorders, apraxia, receptive/expressive language disorders and medically fragile children.  
She has significant experience working with toddlers, preschoolers and school age children, up to the age of 21. Nancy is a Clinical Fellow supervisor and has taught as an adjunct instructor in several New York Graduate programs. She has provided speech/language therapy in school settings, in private homes, and in diverse clinical settings. She is PROMPT Level I trained. 
In addition to being a member of the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association, Nancy is a member of the New York State Speech/Language Hearing Association and the Long Island Speech/Language Hearing Association.  She is licensed as a Speech/language Pathologist and as a Teacher of the Speech/Language Handicapped by the State of New York.  
Nancy truly loves what she does and brings positive energy to all of her therapy sessions.

Nancy Stein

Speech Therapist

Dot has been with Plainview Speech Center for over 26 years.  She is our insurance specialist and can help you navigate your insurance issues.  Her knowledge of medical billing is extensive.  She gets to know all of our patients and their families.  She is amazing at running our office and can answer all of your insurance questions.  Her organizational skills make her extremely adept at managing the day-to-day issues that arise.  We are very fortunate to have her with us and would be lost without her.
